Letter of Invitations for Professional Comments

Dear all of my professional business partners,

Tiffany & Co. has been the leader of jewelry business in the world for the last few decades. So, with well-known brand we have been customer’s main target to fulfill their desire. In this current economic situation, I am pretty sure that every company has to face low circulation of market as what Tiffany & Co. experience. Therefore, we need to find new market channel to promote our products and come out with a good business plan such as launching Tiffany & Co. website. Now, with an extraordinary effort from all Tiffany & Co. workers, our plan is on the right track.

So, this is the best time that we can share ideas together between our companies. I know how busy you are, so I really appreciate the time that you spent in giving such a positive comment and suggestion to me. Please, feel free to share any suggestions or ideas that will help us building the brighter future for our company.

Week 6

As I realized, it’s already been sixth week of study. The time seemed to be running out so fast. This week, the teacher spent some time to teach us about negotiation which will be part of mid-term exam question. But it turned the other way as she used most of the time for the role play activity. In the negotiation activity, we had to change simple sentences to be more proper and polite without changing the meaning and message that contained in those sentences. It is so hard and I don’t think that I could do it well. But, nothing is impossible. When the teacher told us the answer all of the difficulties seemed to be so easy. We just needed to add some words like ‘please’ or ‘sorry’ to make that sentences more proper and polite. The good news for today class was we got the hint from the teacher that negotiation also would come out in the final exam paper. So, I had to learn this more and get better understanding in this topic.

After that, the class continued with the role play activity. This time everyone in the class wear different dresses. Some looked beautiful and some looked funny. There was one word for my group which was awesome because we wear dresses like superstars and models as we represented Ladies Gaga magazine company. So, we needed to be trendy and up to date. Everybody in the class looked happy and pleased with our role play. At first, I just couldn’t concentrate because I had a mid-term exam for other class as well today. So, I was so worried about it. My sleeping rhythm was also not well as I had to prepare myself for both of exam and role play. But I understood that success needed sacrifice and determination. What can I do? Both exam and role play was in the same day. Obviously I was so tired.

Anyway, the other groups made me laugh and cheer me up with their role play. Laugh is really a good medicine as it helps me to be more relaxed and prepare for the next activity.

Week 5

To begin this week, the teacher made a surprise announcement to everyone in the class. It was about our mid-term exam which will be on 8^th July 2010. I was wondering if there would be only learning process but no examination in this world. I thought every student would be happy with that but it’s only a dream that would not come true. At first, the class which was a bit cold and quiet suddenly became hotter after hearing the news on the mid-term exam. It seemed like the bright light in the classroom also turn darker. Everyone looked worried about the exam and the class condition seemed to be bad today.

But the teacher did know how to cheer up her students. When the teacher opened a new topic on our role play in the last class, the class turned up to be more ‘alive’ and fresh. With an eager and excited face and eyes looking at the teacher, all the students were hoping for some good comments from her. ‘God, I wish my group will get a good marks’. That was what playing in my mind at the moment. And fortunately, after the teacher gave some comments on each group it was my group that got the maximum score. It was totally opposite to what I thought last time. I accepted it with a big smile on my face. I was so glad that the teacher understood on what we were presenting to our class on our role play. It seemed like all groups also got good scores as well. It was due to our commitment and dedication in giving the best for our role play. So, they deserved to get good points as well. ‘Thanks my teacher for giving us good scores J’

The teacher always wants the best from her students. She asked us to keep improving for our class presentation. I just realized that the teacher wanted us to search for enough information and prepare a plan before proceed on doing something. In fact, she was implanting to us to be good businessmen/women in the future. Later on in the class she taught us on how to introduce ourselves during our job interview. I wish that I would be a good interviewee and get a good job later on.

Before she ended the class, the teacher assigned us to do a role play on greeting culture during our first day of work for the next class activity. I will certainly do my best for this activity. Hope that I will have much fun with my group mate for this presentation.

Week 4

For this week class, we began the class by product strategy of marketing mix (4Ps). Products were launched in each market. They were not only stuffs, but it’s also including services. There are many functions that involve in managing each product; marketing, service, support, warranty, packaging, and R&D. It was not easy to make one well-known and popular product in the market. To make each brand success, the owners had to make a good business plan in creating customer value, positioning, and branding. So, if you want to market or publish new products, you should follow all product strategy steps; creating value, communicating value, and delivering value.

After that, our class had a special activity. We had a role play for a job interview. We were divided into nine different groups. My group was the first one to take turn and we had a role play on job interview of a flight attendance position. Everybody in the class looked concerned and interested about this. So, did me. I was worried because I had to act as a strict interviewer. So, I did it my best. However, something laughing that we did was just fine for the class today. But, it’s ok. I understood their feeling in that situation. They were just excited while waiting for their turn to present. Every group was great today. The great thing is everyone looked confident and fearless.

The role play was not only acting. But, the teacher wanted to see us increased our ability in English skill. And it worked. Thanks teacher for this interesting activity. I’m looking forward for more activity from you.

"What did I learn from the VictoriasSecretCom?

Maybe, ladies appearance and personality may look different and difficult to understand. But to be honest, we’re same. We just need a person who really understand and appreciate us. So, Victoria’s Secret realizes and gives us the person we need the most. That is the reason why this brand is no. 1 in women’s hearts.

Victoria’s Secret officers try to promote products in many ways for easier trading, particularly by web launch. This channel is extremely attractive and reflects the brand image which Victoria's Secret truly is. Generally, most of ladies like shopping. Thus, when I enter this web, I can’t control myself from clicking on the links because of an interesting promotion and various styles of products. Moreover, colorful and sexy pictures indicate the brand quality and value.

Victoria’s Secret is like my best friend that impresses me all the times although it's only in the Internet.

Week 3

This week, Ajarn Gob gave us the details about topics that we had to add into our blogs. At first, I thought that creating a blog was hard to design. But now, I realized that it’s harder to find all of the information such as company background, product strategy, and promotion strategy. The first one was easy to reach but others were deep. This problem kept haunting my mind. “Gosh, how am I going to find all these information?” I looked at my classmates and I can see every one of them gave full attention in the class. They looked so serious as they were aware that what the teacher told will help us to score good grade in this course. Surely, it was very quiet in class. (But this time only) Thus, the teacher explained all of the topics clearly. But in my mind, I really worried about some of the topics. I had studied in IBM class before, so I knew it’s so difficult to find the information like these. I knew that being hard-working only is not enough but I also had to struggle and endure more and more this time.

However, I also got some good news to follow. The teacher said she didn’t care about grammar because she was not a grammarian. It was great to hear this word. This was what I had been waiting for; more writing freedom to the students. After explaining the details, the teacher shared some ideas with us about the presentation for our final version blogs. The presenters should persuade the class in 5-7 minutes. I don’t know whether I can do it well or not, but I’ll try my best. Moreover, I had to prepare myself by dressing, and products. So, would I bring the Tiffany & Co.’s jewelry also?

Week 2

This was the second class for this subject, but it seemed to be more interesting. The teacher asked us to volunteers to be models for a fashion show. So, guessed what, one of volunteers was me. It had so much fun today in the class. When other volunteers and me walked in the middle of this room, we caught the class attention so much.We looked like real models because of elegant walk and nice smile. All of my classmates laughed and enjoyed it so much.

From this activity, i realized that it helped me to build up my self-confident and participate more in class activity. After this so-called fashion show, the teacher continued the class by asking the class the answer from the last class question. But, there was nobody brave to answer it. So, I decided to answer that “Needs”. She said i gave for the answer, but it’s still mass. however, I was happy that at least i could speak up my opinion. Then, she gave us all the answers, it’s too many. It showed that people have many reasons to buy something because of the humen's greed. This is what mentioned by Buddha so long ago. The class became more interesting as the teacher began to talk about the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs by asking us an interesting question “What are the real wants/ needs/ desires that serve / meet customers’ satisfaction?”

After that, the teacher taught us about the production positioning that is a unique selling point. The teacher gave us a quote that we will remember, “A good business man should not stop his creativity.” When I first heard this sentence, I thought it was general. However, she didn’t give us just only one simple quote, but she gave us an inspiration to do anything in my life.

Week 1

I was in Ajarn Gob’s course for the last term. She really has a different teaching style compare to other teachers. So, I will not waste the opportunity to be in her course again this term. She is a confident and kind teacher. That is one of reasons why students prefer to be in her course.

During the first class, as usual, she explained on the course syllabus. She hopes that at the end of her course, she will help to build up her students to have strong foundation of a successful businessman or woman. So, one of activities that will lead students to the target is to make their own blog. I was so afraid about the blog as i never do it before. My mind kept thinking, "Owh my god, how should I do this." It's just not me that afraid about the blog, but the rest of my classmates also felt the same. Ajarn Gob could see that her students seemed like lack of idea on how to make the blog.So, to encourage her students, she gave us some of interesting blogsthat been made by our seniors as the guidances to us. I kept encouraging myself, "It's up tp be, it's up to me." I knew that i could do it.

After explaining the blog task, the teacher assigned us to work in groups. We had to explore all of the stuffs. It was interesting as we could see that there were a lot of stuffs in each bag. For the final period of the class, the teacher gave us a question; "What is it really in your bag?" It’s a very good question of this subjuct for the first class of the term.
